Oando affirms development of Ghana's Natural Gas Sector

Nigeria leading energy giant Oando Plc declared on Sunday (Oct. 4) that the company has been selected as a key resourceful partner to develop Ghana's natural gas infrastructure from its offshore Jubilee oilfields, a project said to worth $1 billion.

Making this bold declaration yesterday, Oando said it was among three foreign energy companies selected to work with the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) to build gas pipelines, processing facilities and liquefied petroleum gas and storage tanks.

"The choice of Oando...creates an opportunity for us to extend the success recorded in building Nigeria's gas distribution pipeline system to other parts of West Africa," said the firm's Chief Executive Wale Tinubu in a public statement on behalf of the company.
