
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the 2009/2010 Glo Premier League will start on October 18, 2009.
Presently, clubs are registering players for the new season and will run until tomorrow, October 1,2009 after which the publication and verification exercise will begin.
The sport body has announced that three clubs, which participated in the 2008 /2009 Glo Premier League, have been relegated to the division one.
A statement from the GFA also announced that three new clubs from division one have also been promoted to the elite division.
“Following the dismissal of a suit brought against the GFA by Daniel Rockson, a supporter of Tema Youth Football Club, we would like to inform clubs and the general public that the following Premier League clubs including Gamba All Blacks, Tema Youth and Sporting Mirren have been demoted to the division one League.
“Accordingly, the following division one clubs including Accra Great Olympics, New Edubiase United and Aduana Stars have been promoted to the Premier League,” the GFA statement read.
