The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has admitted reeling under workload in the party office after five national executives were appointed into government.
He told Joy News he has had to combine several responsibilities. He however paid a glowing tribute to gurus of the party, Alhaji Hudu Yahaya, Dan Abodakpi, who he said gave him a helping hand from time to time.
The party's Propaganda Secretary, Fiifi Kwetey, the National Organiser and his deputy, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and Baba Jamal, the Women's Organiser, Ama Benyiwa Doe and Youth Organiser, Haruna Iddrisu have taken up appointments in government, giving them little or no time to run the affairs of the party.
Asiedu Nketia, affectionately known as 'general mosquito' said he has reorganized the duties in the party office in consultation with the other executives to ensure that the party front does not suffer.
The General Secretary admitted the appointment of party executives into government is not ideal and hoped a permanent solution will be arrived at.
He however noted the deputies of the various positions have taken over the administration of the party, until National Congress is held in December to elect new executives.

Ahaji Hudu Yahaya also occupied a Government bungalow whilst serving as an NDC party official. Perhaps this should be investigated.
