Asamankese, (E/R), Aug. 08, GNA - The National Lottery Authority (NLA), has donated 3,570 Ghana cedis to the people of Bunso, a farming community in the South-Akyem District of the Eastern Region to construct a three-classroom Junior High School (JHS) block.

Sponsorship for the project, which includes an office and a staff common room, was in response to an appeal made by Dr Bedman Narteh, a Lecturer of the University of Ghana, Legon on behalf of the Bunso Community.

Mr David Lamptey, Head of Legal/Corporate Affairs of NLA, said at a durbar in Bunso that upon completion, the building would be painted in the colours of the Authority to remind the people of its motto of “Developing the Nation through Games”.

Mr Lamptey cautioned the citizens against staking Banker-to-Banker but rather patronize products rolled out by the NLA in order to support the development of the entire nation.

Dr Narteh thanked the NLA for supporting the Bunso Community which was in dire need of financial support to construct a school building for the JHS.

He said the donation had made the community to partake in the benefits of the revenue derived from patronizing NLA's products.
