Old Vandals inaugurate Western Region branch

The Old Vandals Association (alumni of Commonwealth Hall, University of Ghana), will on August 1, 2009 inaugurate its Western Regional Branch.

The inauguration to be held at the Volta River Authority Pool Side, Aboadze, at 2pm, will be preceded with a free health screening exercise and free National Health Insurance Scheme registration for residents of Mampong-Ahanta and surrounding communities in the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis.

Six doctor-members of the association and ten nurses will be in charge of the health education and screening exercises, which will see patients offered expert health counsel and provided over-the-counter medication.

Mr. Kojo Asare, Head of Publicity Committee for the regional Vandals wing, told Myjoyonline.com the inauguration, under the theme Options for the underprivileged in society, will be under the distinguished patronage of Nana Kobina Nketsiah V, Omanhene of the Esikado Traditional Area.

It is sponsored by Merchant Bank, GHAPOHA, Stanbic Bank and Phoenix Insurance Company.
