The Minister for Information, Mrs Sabah Zita Okaikoi, yesterday presented desktop computers costing Six Thousand Ghanaian Cedis (GH¢6,000) to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra to support the Agency to improve upon performance and increase efficiency.

According to Mrs Okaikoi a couple of months ago, her two Deputies acquainted themselves with the situation in GNA and brought her their report, but unfortunately it is reported that the Newsroom was not well equipped.

She made these remarks during a working visit to the GNA in the company of her Deputy Minister, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

These computers, she said, are of high quality, high speed, screen touch and have internet connection to assist in news development.

The General Manager of GNA, Nana Apau Duah, acknowledged the efforts the Ministry is making to improve the Agency.

The GNA has submitted its Business plan to the Ministry for discussion and they believe this will ultimately help to perk up the chance of the Agency''.
