GCB opens branch on Spintex road

Accra, July 13, GNA – The Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) has opened a new ultra-modern branch at the Spintex Road in Accra to serve the needs of customers.

The Spintex Road branch brings to 150, the number of GCB branches throughout the country and 11 agencies, all of which are networked.

The branch located near the Kotobabi Junction on the Spintex Road and adjacent to the Chicken Republic, links the bank's services to the Accra- Tema corridor, Baatsona, Teshie-Nungua and surrounding areas, and is another step to consolidate GCB's position as the lead and largest bank in the country providing retail and consumer banking for customers and non-customers.

A statement to the Ghana News Agency on Monday, said the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Operations, Mr Samuel Sarpong, who cut the tape to open the branch, urged staff of the bank not to discriminate against customers in the delivery of services.

Mr Sarpong said customers contributed to the survival of the bank and advised the staff especially those at the front line to accord them with respect no matter their level of investment.

He described the new branch as a model one in GCB's retail banking business and transformation process.

Mrs Aku MacBruce, Tema Area Manager of GCB said the branch had been equipped with experienced staff to offer the best of services to its customers.

The statement mentioned GCB Express Money Transfer, Kudi Nkosuo, Personal Loans, Staff Loans, Packages for Small and Medium Enterprises, Fast International Money Transfer, MoneyGram Remittances among other things as some of the services being provided by the bank, to bring convenience to its customers.
