Lone survivor of Gambian killings rejects MOU
The only survivor of the infamous Gambian killings of some Ghanaians four years ago says the government of Ghana has failed to secure justice for him and those who lost their lives.
Martin Kyere says a memorandum of understanding signed between President Atta Mills and his Gambian counterpart in Libya yesterday would be rejected by the families of those killed.
The MOU indicates that only six Ghanaians were killed and for these people, the Gambian government will make some contributions to their families.
Earlier reports had suggested that more than 40 Ghanaians were killed and Mr. Martins who witnessed the killings told Joy News that the MOU is unfair to those who were died and their families.
