Ahwia (Ash), June 30, GNA - Mr. George Omane, National Vice-Chairman of the Association of Methodist Men's Fellowships, at the weekend advised members to strictly abide by the objectives of the Fellowship and to project its good image.
He said they should also lead decent and upright lives to attract others into the Fellowship.
Mr. Omane was speaking at the 11th Anniversary Celebration and Induction service for Executives of the Mount Olivet Methodist Men's Fellowship at Ahwiaa in the Kwabre District of Ashanti.
He advised the Executives to offer effective leadership and to assist in the realization of the mission and vision of Methodism.
Mr Omane said the Fellowship will celebrate its Silver Jubilee Anniversary this year, during which members who have rendered dedicated service to the Fellowship and the Church would be honoured.
He further advised the members to pay their contribution towards the completion of the second phase of a Retreat Centre project being undertaken by the Fellowship at Kwadaso near Kumasi.
The Reverend S.Y. Abu-Gyansah, Minister in-Charge of Mount Olivet Society, who conducted the induction service, urged the members to be steadfast and team up with other organizations in the church to pursue its programmes and activities.
He commended the Fellowship for its contribution towards the growth of the Church, noting that they should assist in the evangelization programme.
The Executives who were inducted included Mr. Daniel Afrifah, Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Boakye Yiadom, Vice-Chairman, Mr.Boakye Gyamfi, Secretary, Mr. Kwasi Frimpong, Treasurer, Mr. Charles Osei, Chaplain and Mr. Thomas Akowuah, Public Relations Officer.
