INTERNATIONAL Energy Insurance (IEI), an insurance firm, has celebrated its first anniversary of operation in Accra at a colourful ceremony.
The company, officially launched onto the Ghanaian market in June last year, has defied the keen competition across the local insurance industry and maintained a lead amongst its strategic group, Roseline Ekeng, Chief Executive of the company told CITY &BUISNESS GUIDE.
She attributes this achievement to the prospecting of strategic clients, which has earned the company a sound customer base as well as partnerships with strategic intermediaries including brokers and agents.
“We were able to maintain an edge in a market that is characterized by severe undercutting (price competition), country of origin effect, broker driven market amongst other challenges but we maintained a high ethical business standard, focusing on our core values of service excellence and prudent underwriting principles including a prompt claims management regime.”
In the past year, IEI endeared itself to penetrating the market, new markets development, creating a top of mind brand awareness for energy related insurances and of course, expanding our reach to bring our services closer to our Clients. As such, we have officially opened regional branches in Kumasi and Tema.
IEI offers a wide range of unique insurance products skewed to meet the needs of customers from offshore and onshore risks to general business coupled with the excellent value-added customer service delivery, especially the short turnaround time in handling claims.
Within its short period of operation, it has taken part in events such as the co-sponsoring of Otumfuo Osei Tutu's 10th Anniversary ceremony, the 18th Anniversary Celebration of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana and offered sponsored social events like the Accra Lawn Tennis Championship and the 1st West African Oil & Gas Golf Tourney.
IEI Ghana's business philosophy is centered on providing service excellence through a balance of contemporary business practices and respecting traditional values of the people of Ghana.
Uche Ukugo, Executive Director, also affirmed that the company has kept pace with key developments for the past 12 months reiterating that IEI Ghana's focus on a customer/partnership approach as well as the development of people, which is already showing results.
