WASS Students Interact With Counterparts In The Netherlands

Some students of the West Africa Senior High School being assisted by the school-based co-ordinator of the Global Teenager Project, Ghana, Mr Emmanuel Ahugah, in a live interaction session with their counterparts in The Netherlands via the Internet.

The project enables teenagers from all over the world to engage in inter-cultural exchange and learning through Learning Circles.

Briefing the ‘Daily Graphic’, Mr Ahugah explained that the project was an initiative of a Netherlands institute, International Institute of Communication Development (IICD).

He said WASS had been part of the project for the past 10 years, adding that it had had a very positive impact on the students.

According to him, for the past 10 years the school has been involved in the ICI’s efforts at integrating Information and Communications Technology in education in Ghana.

Mr Ahugah called for local support for the project in overcoming challenges such as unreliable internet connectivity, high e-rates and unavailability of modern computers.
