Hearts of Oak have moved quickly to fill the vacancy in their coaching set-up following the shock exit of Kosta Papic on Thursday.
The Phobians have confirmed former player Nii Noi Thompson as the new head coach.
Nii Noi Thompson, who has had coaching stints with Liberty Professionals and Bechem Chelsea will be in charge until the end of the season as the Phobians face a difficult task claiming the league title with seven matches remaining.
Despite a five-point gap, Hearts of Oak are determined to halt their poor run having lost their last three games.
Thompson, who featured for Phobians back in the 80s as a defender is expected to will lead the club against Real Tamale United at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Sunday.
