Goaso (B/A), June 16, GNA – Mr Robert Sarfo Mensah, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Asunafo North in the Brong Ahafo Region has urged the people, especially those in Zongo Communities to rekindle their communal spirit to enhance the development of their area.

He said despite being in opposition, he would do his best to serve the people and help to improve their living conditions.

The MP was speaking at a thanksgiving ceremony organised for the Zongo Community in Goaso for helping to make the 2008 general election incident-free in the area.

Mr Mensah appealed to Ghanaians and the Muslim Council to offer prayers for the well being of President J.E.A. Mills and a smooth administration by his government.

The MP emphasised that it was incumbent on every Ghanaian to pray ceaselessly for the prosperity of the nation and for the President to rule the country courageously without fear or favour.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of people including executives of both the NPP and the National Democratic Congress.
