Dodowa (GAR), May 11, GNA – Mr. Kwabena Osei-Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer of Kick Malaria Out of Africa, a non-governmental organization (NGO), has called on Ghanaians to immortalize Dr Kwame Nkrumah, first President of Ghana.

He explained that the able leadership role played by the first President in uniting Ghana and Africa contributed to the development of the people on the continent and said that everything possible must be done to honour him as his 100th birthday got closer.

Mr Osei-Bonsu made the call when Dangme West Mango Nursery Producers Association donated 1,000 seedlings worth 2,500 Ghana Cedis to the NGO at Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region on Monday.

Mr Osei-Bonsu said Dr Nkrumah stood for unity, peace and stability and that the role he played in liberating Africa should be embraced by all.

He said the Cashew Department of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the Seed Production Unit of the Cocoa Service Division had provided the NGO with 11,200 cashew seedlings and 4,200 cocoa seedlings respectively to support the exercise.
