Accra, May 7, GNA – South Africa is to share its youth
development programmes with Ghana, the South African High
Commissioner to Ghana, Ms Ntombizodwa Lallie said on
Wednesday.
A statement signed by Ms Sarah Obeng, Public Relations
Officer of the National Youth Council (NYC), said the High
Commissioner gave the assurance in talks with the Minister of
Youth and Sports, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak in Accra.
It said their discussions explored areas of collaboration as far as
youth development was concerned, resource mobilisation for youth
development and ways of reinforcing the capacity of the NYC.
The discussions also centred on youth skills training, youth
exchange programmes, youth fund to assist young people with
entrepreneurial skills and youth employment.
Ms Lallie said South Africa would host a Ghanaian youth
delegation for the celebration of the country's national youth day in
June while South African youth would also participate in Ghana's
National Youth Day in August.
