THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA AND THE SUPERSTRUCTURE DEMOCRACY

THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA AND THE SUPERSTRUCTURE DEMOCRACY

Security in the Midst of Prosperity
Having provided what I believe is going to change the Republic of Ghana and its manners of governing forever, I hereby propose the superstructure Democracy that will forever seal these changes and make the Modern Ghana a better place to live and die for ourselves and our future citizens.

First of all, let us review the changes we have already suggested which may take effect either during this present republic or the Republic that the NPP government will be in power. We have suggested the following:

• The Ghana Armed Force new locality in Sunyani with their Intelligence Headquarters.

• The Ghana Police Headquarters and Intelligence office in Ho

• The New Supreme Court building in Accra (locality to be decided latter)

• The Ghana Central Bank in Koforidua and Koforidua itself being recognised as the FINANCIAL CITY of Ghana

• Sekondi/Takoradi to host the Head offices of GNPC in Ghana.

Now all these changes may not require constitutional changes though it will affect the manners of governing in Ghana because it will make the power structure too complex such that it would be impossible for any mediocre or vagabond to come and assert himself as the new leader of Ghana without having gone through rigorous elections which the present constitution requires.

But as for the following, it may need a constitutional change but it will seal off all the problems we have had and it will make Ghana the number one place on earth to live and practice democracy. But to be frank with you, this method was already in existence prior to the colonisation when the Europeans think they had brought us democracy, which we have not enjoyed before.

As a nation ruled by Kings, who enjoyed popularity but never waned and not on any occasion forced their allegiance on us their citizens, we still have them and enjoy their presence at the same time we give them adoration.

For the next years ahead of us, if the people of Ghana were to think and deliberate carefully about the idea that, whenever the people of Ghana had already chosen their President who will take the power to become the immutable President of the Republic of Ghana, it would still have to go through endorsement by the House of Chiefs.

Now, this power we shall give/entrust to our Kings to perform this powerful symbolic ceremony, shall not in anytime whatsoever in the history of future Ghana overturn the decision, we, the people of Ghana had already taken concerning the choice of our new leader. This is just symbolic, and as symbolic electors they are there to fulfil a function that will make democracy function properly in this country. So in essence, their power is only a reverence we give them concerning their presence in the society of the enlightened Ghana.

But there is only one occasion when the powers of these House of Chiefs would be capable of overturning a decision that has been made, and that is, whenever any vagabond or mediocre should come on its own to declare himself the leader of this republic, then, on this issue the decision of these symbolic electors should be a “no” and then the people of Ghana shall have no leader in the interim until a proper election will be made. Meanwhile this vagabond shall be imprisoned or hunt down (execution) by the people of Ghana.

To give the power of being symbolic electors and to serve the people of Ghana in this capacity will lead Ghana to become one of the most leading democratic countries in the world. It will immediately call for the end of dictatorship in this country and it will usher Ghana into a new era where prosperity will be seen in all the societies. This is not new but still has to require constitutional changes which I believe if the present Government does not initiate the process, when my party comes to power (NPP), we shall reverently consider the great amount of work our forebears have already accomplished and carry this also through.

Long live Ghana; long live the Republic of Ghana, our motherland!
