Recent developments show that the oil and gas sector of the Ghanaian economy has not been given the attention it deserves in the media.
Most developers believe that a more dedicated attention should be given to this very crucial sector of the economy than what is currently prevailing.
As a move to reverse the trend, the management of Energy Point TV, has come with a concept to use the country's TV stations to drive home the energy policies of the country, monitor progress in the sector and also inform the Ghanaian public of the developments in the sector.
“These we will do through news, dialogue, up-beat and mix,” the company said.
The dialogue involves interviews and spotlight on personalities, the up-beat involves showcasing activities from the various energy sites around the country, while the mix will deal with corporate issues concerning the industry.
Valentine Favour Onwuka, Director of Energy Point TV, said the programme would be designed in a magazine format and would have 30 minutes duration.
