Residents of Timiabu, a farming community in Nkoranza North District, have commended Mr. Adjei Collins, a 40-year-old businessman for providing a borehole valued at GHC20,000 for the community.
Mr. Paul Baffoe, Unit committee chairman, told the Ghana News Agency that the people were overwhelmed by the gesture, adding that the facility has greatly helped in solving the water problem facing the people.
He called on other well-to-do individuals in the community to emulate Mr. Adjei and contribute to the development of the area.
Mr. Adjei, a dealer in building materials, said he was moved by the plight of the people who depended on a stream as their main source of water.
He pledged to provide a similar facility for other needy communities.
