Mr. Nicholas Ofori, Brong-Ahafo Assistant Supervisor of Zoomlion Project on Friday urged assembly members, unit committees and traditional rulers to join hands with environmental health Officers in educating the people to keep their surroundings clean.
Mr. Ofori was addressing the people of Nkoranza after a massive clean up campaign organised by the Environment Health Division in response to the President's campaign for environmental cleanliness.
He commended the people for their voluntary spirit and urged them to make the exercise a routine programme.
Mr. Ofori later presented sanitary items such as, hand gloves, nose masks, shovels, wheel barrows, refuse trucks and refuse containers to workers of Zoomlion project at Nkoranza.
Mr. Daniel Agyarko, Nkoranza South District Environmental Health Division Officer, urged landlords to construct toilets in their houses to enhance sanitation in the communities.
He also urged the communities to construct public toilets.
