Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu THE NATIONAL Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Sharabutu, has commissioned an office for his yet-to-be launched Educational Trust Fund at his residence in New Fadama.

The fund, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu Education Trust Fund (SONSETFUND), aims at helping raise the level of educational standard in deprived and marginalized communities in the country and to provide financial assistance to needy but brilliant youth.

The fund plans to provide free counseling and consultation to students and the unemployed.

The Chief Imam advised the management team to be transparent and to abide by the rules governing the trust fund.

Islam, he reminded the team, has laid down in detail, how to manage public funds especially those intended to assist the needy in marginalized communities.

The management team in their response expressed gratitude to the chief imam for the confidence he reposed in them.

The Executive Secretary of the fund, Khuzaima Osman noted that the Chief Imam had contributed his quota to the development of the society as evidenced in his construction ofseven basic schoolsaround the country.

At Kasoa in the Central Region, the cleric, he disclosed is financing an educational complex, adding that needy students and the unemployed may contact the office of the national chief imam for assistance.
