Association donates to children’s home

The Ashanti Regional branch of the Ghana Home Economics Association has presented assorted items valued at 500 Ghana cedis to the inmates of the Kumasi Children's Home.

The items included bags of rice, cartons of soap, toiletries, biscuits and bales of second-hand clothing.

Mrs Jessie Osei Kofi, outgoing President of the Association, said at the presentation ceremony that the gesture was their widow's mite and also formed part of the celebration of the Association Day which fell last weekend.

Mrs Beatrice Osei Asibey, Senior Child Care Officer at the Home, who received the items, thanked the Association for the support.
