AN AQUA privy toilet facility constructed at the cost of GH¢84,000 by the chief of Antoa, Nana Kwame Owusu Agyeman has been inaugurated at Antoa in the Kwabre East district of Ashanti.

The chief said it was his personal contribution towards efforts at improving the quality of life of the people, in line with the vision of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, that every chief should champion the development of their respective towns.

He assured that he would provide assistance for the construction of a science laboratory, library, ICT centre and additional classrooms for the only Senior High School in the area.

Nana Owusu Agyeman appealed to the community to ensure that the facility is kept tidy and maintained to prolong its lifespan.

Prof. Mrs. Esi Awuah, a lecturer of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), who was the Guest Speaker at the commissioning, noted that with the existence of the river God, Nyamaa, the Antoa community is a tourist attraction and urged the people to adopt good maintenance culture to preserve the facility.
