Foundation donates to Dzorwulu special school

The Shalom Foundation, a local Baptist charity organization on Monday donated assorted food items, medicals and stationeries and a cheque for GHC2000 to the Dzorwulu Special Schoolin Accra.

Rev Noah Quarshie, the Founder, said the donation formed part of the church's mission of evangelism and meeting the needs of the deprived in society.

He noted that the inmates needed to be cared for adding, “Government alone can not shoulder the responsibility” and called on others to support.

Dr Frank Gainer, Chief Financial Officer of the Fundamental of Baptist Fellowship Association, USA urged the care-givers to pay attention to the needs of the inmates and provide them with the ultimate comfort.

Ms Veronica Bassaw, Headmistress of the school called on parents with such children to bring them to the centre to enable them to benefit from the training it offered.

She said currently, the school had 150 inmates who were being given formal and vocational training.

Ms Bassaw expressed gratitude to the foundation and called on others to also help.
