Obeis Football Management, an Accra-based soccer talent-hunt has registered 1,500 players in the Greater Accra Region for this year's Talent Hunt exercise.

Out of the number of registered players, 500 of them would be selected from a series of trainings, while another 100 would then be selected before a final 20 to be made on the final day.

Mr Freshpound Ibrahim, Chief Executive Officer of the Obeis Football Management, announced this at the opening of this year's Talent Hunt exercise in Accra on Monday.

He said the selected 20 would be joined at the Winneba Sports College by 18 others who would be selected from the Ashanti, Eastern and Western Regions.

Mr Ibrahim said 136 players would then be selected to make the final trip to South Africa and the United Kingdom.

The CEO said the exercise was aimed at offering employment to the youth and also helping them to develop their talents.

He appealed to the players to be law abiding and take their training seriously to enable them win laurels for themselves and the nation.

Mr Ibrahim thanked Voltic Ghana Limited for supporting the exercise and expressed the hope that other corporate bodies and institutions would offer the company the necessary support to enable them achieve their aim.

Seven players were signed-on by Jomo Cosmos at the end of last year's exercise which ended at South Africa.
