Effutu Municipal Police Commander advises policemen to live above reproach

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Francis Yiribaare, Effutu Municipal Police Commander, has advised police personnel to live above reproach to ensure success in their effort to maintain peace and tranquillity in the society.

He urged them to refrain from meddling in chieftaincy, politics, land disputes and other vices that threatened peace in society.

ASP Yiribaare gave the advice at his maiden meeting with police personnel and station officers in Winneba.

They were from Winneba, Senya Beraku, Dominase and Gomoa Fetteh.

He asked them to be more committed in the discharge of their duties, adding “with commitment and discipline they would achieve results to the admiration of the public”.

ASP Yiribaare reminded them of their constitutional duty to protect lives and properties and with united front crimes in the district could be controlled.

On road safety, he said plans were underway to meet the Municipal Security Council (MUSC) and Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service to evolve measures to reduce road accidents in the area.

ASP Yiribaare commended the police for their high sense of professionalism during the Bewadze road accident and urged them to continue to show that patriotism in the cause of their service.
