The police have arrested four persons including a visually-impaired man, Kwasi Gyamfi, aged 48 of Nobekaw in Asunafo South District for possessing, smoking and selling Indian hemp.

The other suspects, all residents of Nobekaw, are Francis Manu, 72, Kwabena Yeboah, 33 and Akwasi Douglas, 12.

Police Superintendent Mr. Charles Domanban, Brong-Ahafo Regional Crime Officer, told the GNA that on March 03 police arrested the four at Nobekaw for selling and smoking dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

A search led to the retrieval of 88 wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis from the room of Gyamfi while pieces of wrappers were found concealed in a match box in the room of Manu, who allegedly taught Douglas how to smoke at age 10.

Yeboah, a taxi driver, was alleged to be the source of supply of the drug from Badu in the Tain District.
