Court Remands Driver’s Mate for Stealing

The Kade District magistrate court has remanded Buhari Mumuni, a driver's mate, charged with unlawful entry and stealing.

Mumuni pleaded not guilty to both counts of unlawful entry into a beer bar of the complainant at Nkwantanang near Kade and stealing his Sony DVD deck valued at GHC 65 and cash of GHC 65.

He will reappear in court on March 25.
Police Inspector Francis Cobbinasaid when the complainant returned from the farm and entered his beer bar, he found that someone had broken into the place and made away with the items.

Someone informed him that he saw the accused entering the beer bar during his absence and when he questioned him as to what he wanted but he could not give any explanation.

A report was made to the police and Mumuni was arrested.
