AshantiGold gave their fight against relegation a boost after a 0-1 win over another struggling side Sporting Mirren in a delayed fixture at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Thursday.
Defender Solomon Addy struck the only goal in the 10th minute and separated the two for the remaining 80 minutes.
AshGold moved from the foot of table to second-bottom and swapped positions with Mirren.
Mirren have struggled this term and under experience coach EK Afranie they were hoping for a lift.
