THE ACTING General Manager of Sustainable Development of Anglo Gold Ashanti (AGA), Mr. Aboagye Ohene Adu has expressed concern about the deplorable state of Akrofuom Senior High Technical School, one of the community schools in the Ashanti region.

He said the time had come for authorities to give the school the needed attention in order to change its current situation.

Mr. Ohene-Adu said this when presenting a cheque for GH ¢ 2, 000 to the school expressed the company's commitment towards education.

He encouraged both the teachers and students not to be disheartened about the state of the school and continue to put up their best.

Hon. Kwabena-Appiah Pinkrah, the MP said the development of the school was his priority and that he would continue to commit greater percentage of his MP's common fund to support the growth of the school.

He noted that efforts being made to improve conditions in the school would come to nothing if the students failed to keep their books.

Mr. Peter Amponsah, the Headmaster of the school commended the company for the gesture and assured that, the money will be used to raise the level of development of the school.
