Graduate students calls on Education Minister

Mr. Alex Tettey-Enyo, Minister of Education has reiterated his determination to address the challenges facing students in their quest to acquire knowledge.

The Minister gave this assurance when the National executives of Graduate Students Association of Ghana, led by its President, Mr. Michael Adusei, paid a courtesy call on him in his office.

The National Executives were in the office to congratulate the Mr Tettey-Enyo on his appointment and also discuss with him some of the challenges facing graduate students.

Mr. Tettey-Enyo assured the students of his readiness to cooperate with them for the total development of education in Ghana.

Dr. Joseph Annan, Deputy Minister of Education, called for a total linkage between tertiary institutions and industry.

He charged the students to come out with research materials that would contribute towards the development of the nation.

The graduate students called on government to increase the post graduate bursaries and grants by 100 percent adding that the present grant did not reflect economic realities of the time.
