4 Lovers KilledIn Mystery Deaths
17.03.2009 LISTEN

Sinard Klutse Torgorme Four lovers have lost their lives in a string of bizarre bloodletting that rocked Accra last Saturday, prompting curious persons to ask whether Ghanaians have not had enough of bloodshed after so many road accidents.

At Abeka, a certain Daniel Parku, aged about 30, an indigene of Kpando in the Volta region and his girlfriend, Harlo Anpado, from Tefle, also in the Volta region, were found dead in a room on Monday.

Their bodies, in advanced state of decomposition, were said to have been rejected by the Korle-Bu mortuary. They were therefore taken to the Police Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

The incident occurred at a house near the Apostolic Church where Daniel had lived for the past three years. DAILY GUIDE learnt that the late Daniel was an employee of a private security company  but was recently laid off.

A family source of the deceased lady, living at La Wireless, whom she was staying with, told the Tesano Police that she traveled out of town to attend a funeral last week.

On her return, she was told by her children that their aunt (deceased) left for work and did not return.

The family, the source went on, did not suspect anything untoward but nevertheless came down to Abeka, where they came face-to-face with the gory story.

They were surprised that the incident took place because they did not know that the two were still in a relationship, since the affair had been bedeviled with incessant quarrels until the signs were that the whole caboodle had come to an end.

While a co-tenant disclosed that the deceased man was last seen by him a week ago, another narration had it that the epileptic incessantly spoke about ending his life anytime he experienced an attack of the condition.

The girl's decomposed body, infested with maggots, was on the bed with a bloated tummy as her lovebird dressed up in a pair of goggles was hanging from the roof.

In yet another gory development in Kissieman near Achimota, a suburb of  Accra, a Nigerian lady was suspected to have murdered her boyfriend, a compatriot, under unfathomable circumstances.

Chris and his girl, whose name the Police was withholding, both lived under the same roof and sources said it was the lady who rented the place.

According to the landlady, who also lived in the house, the two had been causing some disturbances and so she called them to order on Saturday March 14, 2009.

On that fateful night at about 9.00pm, she said the couple was once more engaged in noise-making and so she went to them to warn them to desist from the act.

She took another look at their room from a distance and saw the girl come out from the room and moved towards a dustbin.

She went back to the room and locked the door and so the landlady left the scene thinking all was well.

She later received a call from the lady asking whether her boyfriend had gone out. Surprised, the landlady asked why she was posing that question at that time, considering that both of them were in the same room.

The lady said she was not at home and wanted to park her belongings while the man was away.

The alarmed landlady returned to her tenants' place and realizing that the light in the room was on, started calling out Chris' name.

After calling him repeatedly and getting no response, she looked into the room and on seeing the deceased lying motionless on the ground, she called her children to come and find out what was amiss.

The landlady's children advised that the Police be called in, but because it was late at night, the security agents could not come until Sunday.

The Police discovered the telltale knife used in the alleged murder lying in the dustbin. The suspected murderer was said to be on the run.

In yet another story of suspected murder at Taifa Burkina on Saturday, a certain Amegadzie is being held by the Police after he reported to them about his role in the death of Sinard Klutse Torgorme.

The deceased was said to have gone to the house of one Alofa to confront a certain Nana Kwaku Duah over his alleged flirtation with his wife, Dede Nartey aka Efe.

On seeing the deceased in the company of two others, Nana dashed into Alofa's bedroom. They tried entering the room but were prevented by the suspected killer. The three who had earlier assaulted Nana, insisted that they just wanted to find out from him why the deceased's wife had to send GH¢1 note to be given to him by one Burt Ocansey.

Amegadzi mediated that he would go and quiz Nana in the room but when he went in, Nana said he had not received any such amount.

The deceased was infuriated and in the company of the two, pounced on Amegadzi and assaulted him.

Amegadzi dashed for Alofa's firearm and fired into the deceased's abdomen, killing him instantly. With the weapon and the spent cartridge, he reported to the Mile 7 Police.

The wife of the deceased and Nana as well as Kwesi are all on the run but Alofa and Amegadzi are assisting the Police in their investigations.
