Parliament gives 4 nominees approval

Parliament yesterday approved the nomination of four (4) persons as Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State respectively. The nominees include; Messrs. Abdul Rashid Pelpuo, Mr. Amadu Seidu, Kwajo Tawiah Likpalimor as Ministers of State and Mr. Seth Tekper for the position of Deputy Minister for Finance.

In approving their nominations, both sides (Minority and Majority) of the House took into account the nominees' submissions when they appeared before the Appointments Committee last Monday.

Both sides on the House were full of praise for the conduct exhibited by the nominees, and therefore recommended for their approval to their respective positions assigned to them by the President.

The approval of the nominees received a unanimous decision at the committee level, having satisfied itself that they had fully met the requirements of the 1992 Constitution.
