THREE COMMUNITIES in the Ashanti Region, namely Jamasi, Ntonso and Ahwia, have benefited from the largesse of the Sekyere Rural Bank.
The bank has provided streetlights for Jamasi, while providing a Kumasi Ventilated Improved Pit (KVIP) place of convenience each to Ntonsu and Ahwia.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank, Mr. K. Obese Antwi, said the gesture was part of the bank's social responsibility towards making live bearable for communities.
He said the bank, by this gesture, was slowly moving away from assisting farmers and traders with loans, to providing infrastructure facilities for the benefit of the larger community.
He urged the people to cultivate the habit of saving in the banks, saying cash flow at the banks was important for growth of national economy.
Mr. Obese Antwi gave the assurance that the bank would work to strength customer relations, promote private sector growth, and create jobs, by granting loans to business-minded youth to expand their businesses.
