The Volta Regional Chairman of the NDC, Modestus Ahiable has strongly stated that that, no party sympathizer has resigned from the party over concerns of being tangential in ministerial appointments as stated earlier by some media houses. This he rebutted at a Press Conference in Ho at the NDC Regional Headquarters on Monday, March 09, 2009.

The Regional Chairman, Mr. Modestus Ahiable says, various indigenous people from the Volta Region are being represented in President Mills' government. This follows a speculation of misguided reports both in some print and electronic media that, NDC foot-soldiers in the Volta Region are resigning for not having appointments and that they have been unfairly treated by President Mills. Mr. Ahiable says it would be too early to point out the people reading different meanings into the issue.

According to him over the said misreports, people had stated that he (Modestus Ahiable), his Secretary and some two others for being given ministerial, ambassadorial or para-statal appointments which frantically was FALSE. People had started making “scape-goat” the NDC Secretariat in the Region over misguided information and that, he is giving the platform for any individual or group of individuals who have been denied appointments as such, he bemoaned. He challenged the media who were putting across the wrong information to come out clearly to fish out persons from the Regional Secretariat whom they believe had complained about being denied appointments.

He seriously queried the media to stop circulating wrong information to the people of Ghana.
