Charles Taylor CHARLES TAYLOR insists he has shamed his critics who expressed doubts over his inclusion in the Black Stars team partaking in the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament in Cote D'Ivoire.
“I have performed excellently so far to prove those who raised objections about my selection into the team wrong,” the Hearts of Oak forward intimated in a radio interview.
In the last three matches that he featured in, Taylor proved to be the talisman of the local component of the Black Stars, scoring a goal and providing several assists.
He expressed worry over how a section of sports fans lambasted the Stars' technical team for including him in the national team, noting that the development was very irritating to him.
The former Olympics and Kotoko star stated that he was picked into the national team on merit and nothing else. “I am part of the team not because of my name but due to my expertise and current form”.
