The Superintendent Minister of the Winneba Diocese of the Methodist Church, the Very Rev. John Kwaku Odum, has advised Christians to give charitable donations to the needy and experience success in their lives.

He said Christians owed it a duty to invest in people so that God would invest in their lives.

Rev. Odum was delivering a sermon on the theme, “Christ your example, yield not to Temptation”, in Winneba.

He said God, who created all things in abundance, gives freely to us so Christians must also give generously.

“Man must exhibit the nature of God because man is the crown of creation,” he stressed.

Prayers were said for a peaceful celebration of the 52nd Independence Anniversary and for national prosperity and development.

The congregation also said special prayers for God to grant President John Atta Mills the wisdom and understanding for a successful reign.
