The Akyem Anyinam Islamic Community in the Atiwa District is rehabilitating the local Islamic primary School through voluntary contributions, to help improve teaching and learning in the school.
Alhaji Karimu Seidu, spokesperson of the community, told the GNA that the community is constructing a three-unit block for the Kindergarten section to replace the old block destroyed by rainstorm a year ago.
The other project being undertaken under the rehabilitation exercise included the construction of another three-unit block for the primary section.
Alhaji Seidu said the projects were being financed through voluntary contributions of GHC 10.00 per male adult, whilst the women were paying GHC 5.00 per head.
He made a passionate appeal to the district assembly to assist in providing building materials to ensure the early completion of the projects.
