
Dr Kunbour and Antwi Boasiako PRESIDENT JOHN Evans Atta Mills has nominated 14 more people to the position of deputy ministers for consideration by Parliament, bringing the total number of ministers and deputy ministers to over 70.
The nominations are in accordance with Article 79 (1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana.
The President has also appointed Victor Emmanuel Smith as Presidential Staffer for Protocol, and Koku Anyidoho as Head of Communications at the Presidency.
A statement issued at the Castle in Accra yesterday and signed by J.K. Bebaako-Mensah, Secretary to the President, named the appointees are Dr. Benjamin Kumbuor, Deputy Minister for Health; Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa and James Agyenim-Boateng, Deputy Ministers for Information while Nii Amasah Namoale, Dr. Alfred Sugri Tia and Yaw Effa-Baafi are sharing the Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture portfolio.
Others are Chris Kpodo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs; Ebo Barton-Oduro, Deputy Minister for Justice and Deputy Attorney-General; Dr. Hannah Bissiw and Alhaji Iddi Saani Water Resources, Works and Housing.
The rest are Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Deputy Minister for Environment, Science and Technology; Antwi Bosiako-Sekyere, Deputy Minister for Employment and Social Welfare; Mrs. Lucy Awuni Mbun, Deputy Upper East Regional Minister and Ms. Anima Wilson, Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister.
