Editors Forum elects executive

The Editors Forum, Ghana, (EFG) has elected its executive for a two-year term.

A statement from the Forum in Accra on Tuesday said Ms Ajoa Yeboah-Afari, former editor of the Ghanaian Times and immediate past President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), was elected chairperson, with Dr Anthony Bonnah Koomson of the School of Communication Studies, Legon, as vice chairperson.

Other officials are: Mr Abu Issa Monnie of Peace FM – secretary; Mr Emmanuel K. Dogbevi, Ghana Business News – assistant secretary; Mr Edmund Smith-Asante, Ghanaian Observer – treasurer and Mr Peter Ankomah, Daily Dispatch – organising secretary.

Two executive members were also elected - communications consultant and educator Dr Doris Yaa Dartey and Mr Kwaku Nkrumah, a freelance journalist, formerly of the GBC.

The EFG is a grouping of senior editorial executives and media educators working to promote high professional standards, notably through peer reviewing. It is affiliated to the
