The Police at Wa in the Upper West Region, at the Weekend arrested two suspected Indian Hemp peddlers, who allegedly assaulted to death, Mauzu Hafiz, a 25-year-old electrician.
Mr. Augustine Luguyare, the Regional Crime Officer, told GNA at Wa that Faizal Yakubu, 28, and Yussif Iddrisu 32, who accused Hafix of stealing Indian Hemp belonging to them, assaulted the deceased till he collapsed and died under a mango tree.
The Crime Officer said Tampuori Hamidu, a farmer, rushed to the scene only to discover that Hafiz was dead.
Mr. Luguyare said Hamidu raised the alarm and some people who came to the spot helped him (Hamidu) to arrest the suspects.
The body of Hafiz has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for autopsy.
