FEATURED: Why Are Black People Obsessed With The Bible That Was Used To Enslave ...

12.02.2009 Feature Article

Why do we used players that warm the bench in the European league and leave out the local players when they are playing week in week out,to me the so call "foreign base players syndrome"have to stop,I'm not a fun of john pantsil of FULHAM FC,but he plays every week therefore he deserved to play for the national team,Richard Kingston have played 1 match all season yet he gets a free ticket and walk straight to the national team,to me that a joke for the coach and ghana,is time we change our attitude and pick the best for our beloved BLACK STARS OF GHANA.

Gone were the days when playing a third or fourth division in Europe give you the automatic choice to play for the national team, the local players train twice as hard and the recent achievement by the under 20,s have prove me right.Ghana is a nation with very high expectation for our national teams, and those in charge should look to the interest of ghana but not individuals who like to be seen in the new sport wear or designer wear.

We should look around us,gone were the days when African countries depend on their "foreign base warm benchers",these days most African players that plays for their countries play in the first teams and champions league football. If we want to win major tournaments is time we mixed the best of the foreign base players with the local players and by doing that it will encourage the local league to be more stronger and bring out good players like Frimpong Manso,Emmanuel Amarh(Senegal) Kwesi Appiah,Joe Deborah etc.God bless Ghana
