GCB unveils 149th branch in Elmina

Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), one of the leading banks in the country has unveiled the 149th branch in Elmina, positioned to assuage the hyper-competition in the banking industry.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Elmina branch, the General Manager of Retail Banking of GCB, Ms. Joyce Atta-Krah has observed that the bank has been transformed and restructured for the past eight years in the area of making customer satisfaction the center of its operation.

She urged staff of the bank not to commit any act to scare away clients and investors.

Ms. Atta-Krah emphasized that the bank is committed to ensuring the highest quality banking services for customers.

The General Manager of Retail Banking said “The competition in the banking sector requires high quality staff to enable the bank attract the needed customers, saying the bank was committed to making the customer “king”.

On the part of the Municipal Coordinating Director of the Komenda Edina-Eguafo Abrem (KEEA), Mr. Dramani Saaka has shown some optimism that the bank would boost economic activities in the area.

He called for the prompt distribution of bank statements for customers.

Mr. Fiifi Dennis, Cape Coast Area Manager of the bank called on customers to use facilities such as the Express Money transfer of the bank and the Kudi Nkosuo to help the bank succeed.

Mr. Micheal Essando, the Central Regional Co-coordinating Director and Nana Joloe Solomon, Chief Fisherman of Elmina, cut the tape to inaugurate the branch.

The new branch offers all the banking services including international and local money transfers, loans, internet banking, trade services and others.
