Reginald Berko named as man stabbed to death in Hackney, East London

Police have named a man stabbed to death in Hackney, east London, as 26-year-old Reginald Berko. Mr Berko, from Stamford Hill, and known as Reggie, died on Friday evening after seeking help from bystanders, saying he had been "chased and stabbed".

Police said they believed he staggered 200m (220 yards) while fatally injured from a walkway under Fellows Court to Ormsby Street where he was found. A post mortem concluded that he died of a single stab wound to the heart.

The attack happened just after 1800 GMT on Friday and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Detective Chief Inspector Ian Stevenson said: "In particular I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and might have seen someone being chased.
