Kusasis in Ashanti congratulate President Mills and Vice-President Mahama

The Kusasi Community in the Ashanti Region has congratulated Professor John Evans Atta Mills and Mr John Dramani Mahama for being elected as President and Vice-President, respectively, in the recent general elections.

“We have absolute confidence in the competence and capability of the President and his Vice in their determination to move the country forward in the right direction, looking at the positive and innovative approach that had been initiated to help unite the people of the country”.

This was contained in a statement signed by Chief Azumah Ndagu Edward, Head of the Kusasi Community in Ashanti and issued in Kumasi on Thursday.

The statement reminded the new government not to repeat the mistakes of previous governments, but strive to improve on those shortfalls for the accelerated socio-economic development of the country.

The statement thanked the President for giving Mr Mahama Ayariga the opportunity to serve the nation in the high office of Spokesperson to the President and hoped that he would justify the confidence reposed in him by working hard.
