Mr. Philip Awuah, former Assembly Member
for Adoagyiri Akwamu Electoral area on Friday appealed to the Akwapem South Municipal Assembly and National Disaster Management Organisation to come to
the aid of the people of Djatui new town with building materials.
Briefing the Ghana News Agency at a meeting with the people, Mr Awuah
said the roofs of the old temporary clinic, which served the people in the
area, was during the weekend ripped of after a rainstorm.
He said the storm, which destroyed the clinic's building also ripped
off the roofs of other houses.
Meanwhile, the Unit Committee members and the people are engaging
in communal labour to renovate the clinic, which provided maternal care
and first aid services to the people.
