Churches urged to intensify evangelism

Reverend Iddrisu Tweneboah-Kodua, Minister in-charge of the Assemblies of God Church Ghana in the US, has urged Churches to intensify their evangelism to help salvage the society from evil and social vices to transform the country.

Preaching at a the opening session of a three-day crusade, organised by the Old Tafo Gospel Centre Assemblies of God Church in Kumasi on Thursday under the theme “Prepare to meet Your God”, the clergyman said it was unfortunate that even in the face of the proliferation of Churches immoral behaviour especially among the youth was on the ascendancy.

Rev. Tweneboah-Koduah called on the nation's leaders to be transparent and accountable to their people for effective utilization of State resources.

He appealed to Ghanaians to be law abiding, truthful and honest and contribute meaningful to national development.

Rev. Tweneboah-Koduah urged the people to love and have compassion for the needy and support them to improve their standards of living.

Rev. John Kwabena Boachie, Minister in-charge of the Old Tafo branch of the Gospel Centre Assemblies of God Church, said other activities planned in connection with the crusade included a clean-up and donation to Tafo Government Hospital and free medical screening for Church members as well as the general public.
