Well Done, Joy FM
Please permit to address the concerns of Kofi Appiah in relation to the subject of his accusations of Joy being biased as posted on your website - www.myjoyonline.com.
Firstly, I want to state that Joy FM's projections were based on the first results from the constituencies in the Ashanti Region which figures were alleged to have been changed, but the Electoral Commission worked with the new figures pending investigations into those results.
Secondly, it was only Joy FM that projected less the 51% for the leading candidate before the EC announced its results. Peace FM projected 51% whiles the GNA on its website (http://www.ghananewsagency.org/) projected 52% and it is still the same as at now.
Finally, well done Joy FM for the professional manner you went about your duty to inform your listeners with a balanced and unbiased reportage. I also commend you on how you immediately updated your website after the EC announced its results to avoid any mistrust. You did it in 2000, 2004 and you have done it again!
