Nana Akufo Addo and NPP to Listen to Words of Wisdom; Concede Defeat Please!

Are we the NPP sympathisers myopic enough not to see the boldly etched words of God and those of the majority of the Ghanaian electorates requesting for the peaceful handover of the reins of government to the NDC? Are we also sufficiently deaf as not to hear the clamouring of the people to pass on the baton of government to the NDC? It is about time the NPP bigwigs did the noble thing by prevailing upon Nana Akufo Addo to concede defeat in the most decent and honourable way. He should bow out gracefully, pat the back of his University mate Evans Atta Mills with a thumb up sign congratulating and wishing him all the best in his Presidential career. The defeat has come in great awe, shock and thud, but it has to be accepted as such. In any race, there should always be a victor and a vanquish. Neither greed nor the unrelenting quest to be of service to mother Ghana should be allowed to hold us sway to act stupidly selfishly.

The making of unnecessary hues and cries by the NPP and Nana Addo intended to forestall the handover process will only end up aggravating the animosity of the electorates towards them. Try as they will, their ploys will not stick but be in vain. Their current actions and vicious stance are only a recipe for disaster. They are unconsciously preparing a fertile ground for, and beckoning on the military to dabble into politics once more. There is likely to be a chaos in Ghana should Nana Addo backed by some selfish NPP leaders intransigently pursue a course of action detrimental to the wish of the majority of Ghanaians that have voted for a change. This present untoward, callous and dismal action by the NPP will cost them dearly and possibly ruin their chances of ever coming back to power in my life time. Why are we stupidly shooting ourselves in the foot? From whomever this idea of resistance originated is the devil incarnate malevolently seeking but indirectly, the annihilation of the NPP. It will make us incur the wrath of the majority of Ghanaians who upon ever remembering this despicable act will always decide to vote us out but never in.

Nana Addo, you are a more seasoned politician to stoop so low to the path of desperation to seeking political power. It may either not be your turn yet to be the President of Ghana or you were never ordained to be. Be that as it may, you are still an eloquent, affluent and professionally influential lawyer and politician. I know you want to bend fate to suit you but as at present, let sensible fate take its own course, please. Whatever the NPP's apprehensions are with the NDC and the Rawlingses rearing their vindictive heads to exact a pound of their flesh, they should be prepared to swallow the same bitter pill if they had administered any to their rivals. As one good turn deserves another, I shall appeal to the NDC to be prudent in the interest of national unity to be extremely careful the way they go about punishing the NPPs who they are determined to frogmarch to the Nsawam prison. For, two wrongs never make a right but if it is the only alternative to correct the excesses of the thievery by our African politicians, then go for it with my blessing.

There is even no need for participating in the Tain constituency election scheduled for tomorrow. Just let it be called off by conceding defeat. The defeat at Tain will be a double slap in the face and you will be ashamed beyond redemption as there will be no any other option than to concede defeat. Tain is already a NDC seat and the magical wonders you expect to tip the scales in your favour will never be forthcoming from Tain. President Kufuor who listens only to himself has not been of any help to the course of the NPP and Nana Addo at the very inception of the electioneering campaign hence, the resounding defeat of the NPP for either the better or for worse, as only God knows. Any court injunction to be placed on the Electoral Commission will work only for a short-while but not in the long term. Nana Addo of the NPP has lost the election and I, as a NPP sympathiser will appeal through advice to him, to save us from any further embarrassment by graciously accepting defeat now than later. He can consult his schoolmate Atta Mills to discuss his fears, wishes and requests in private in case their old friendship will strick a cord, yield a desired result of not being treated inhumanely as a course avowed to pursue by some repugnant NDC guys.

Ghana comes first before the interests of my political affiliations, so should any rightful thinking Ghanaian. Nana Addo will listen to my words of encouragement and also drink from the fountain of my overflowing wisdom though he selflessly had desired to be of greater service to Ghana by serving her in the capacity of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana armed forces, that is, the President of the Republic of Ghana.. The old man with silver hair, the repository of wisdom, has spoken at last and it will have the intended effect. Nana Addo and my fellow NPP countrymen, note that , "Had I known is always at last" and "A word to the wise is enough"

Shalom, Shalom and Shalom.
