Nana Akuffo-Addo Still Capable to Win the Presidency
Many are the NPP supporters that are shocked beyond belief by the poor performance of the party at the parliamentary elections. Most of us cannot believe our eyes. The results seem like a dream to us though a true reflection of the Ghanaians grasp of the tenets of democracy.
I shall at this point advise all NPP activists and sympathisers not to be discouraged to the point of throwing in the towel but rather to double their efforts to clinch the presidency for the party in case a second round election is necessitated. I assure all the NPP faithful that all is not lost. There is still a glimmer of hope when despair seems to overcome us. Let your faith in winning the presidency be as strong as ever. All is not lost as once said during the second world war by the French President Charles de Gaulle who said, and I quote, "La France a perdu une bataille ! Mais la France n'a pas perdu la guerre! ... Car la France n'est pas seule! Elle n'est pas seule! Elle n'est pas seule! Meaning "France has lost the battle! But France has not lost the war! For France is not alone! She is not alone! She is not alone!" In the end the French were liberated and the enemy, in which case it was the Germans, were defeated. As it was in those days, so shall it be at this presidential election. The NPP has lost the parliamentary elections but they have not lost the Presidential elections. It is winnable and it must be won!
The NPP supporters are not to be complacent. Go out in droves to campaign for votes. Do door to door campaigning and those overseas plead with your friends and relatives back home to go out to vote. The NPP should realise their faults and correct them when they win the presidency.
I am still persuaded Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo will make it to the Promised Land while Professor Mills like Moses will see it but.......
May the Most Faithful God Almighty accept our adoration, confession of sinful mistakes, thanksgiving, and supplications to see the NPP through to Ghana's presidency. AMEN!
