The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor J. E. A Mills has advised his supporters to be patient and allow the Electoral Commission (EC) to come out with the results of the December 7, elections.

A day after the elections, both supporters of the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are anxious as there had not been a clear winner.

In the midst of this, supporters of the party are accusing their leadership of being soft by waiting for the EC to announce the final results.

They are therefore demanding that they should be allowed to take to the streets to jubilate since they cannot wait for the EC to annouce the results of the elections the party had already won.

In fact, they showed how poised they were waiting for the ultimate diadem when they took to the street in front of the Campaign Office to jubilate for success of the party in the election.

When Prof. Mills was leaving his office yesterday afternoon, the supporters closed on him and demanded that they be allowed to take to the streets but he appealed to them to remain calm.

“You should remain calm since eventually we will be declared the winner of the election,” he told the highly charged supporters.
